The role

The Group Financial Controller (Head of Consolidation) owns the general ledger, month-end close and statutory consolidation of the Group's reported actuals across the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. As Global Process Owner for Record to Report, this role is accountable for the end-to-end standard, control framework and resource model.

You will connect the Dubai headquarters with local finance organisations while reporting responsibility transfers to Dubai, protecting the continuity and quality of every close. You will lead a team of five. The role is fully based in Dubai, with relocation and visa support provided, and requires international travel of up to 25%.

What you will own

• Own the month-end close calendar and process for all entities and business units.
• Produce the consolidated Group result and individual entity financial statements.
• Own the chart of accounts as the Group master file and govern all changes.
• Define the global accounting standard and adapt it to local compliance requirements without permitting variation in substance.
• Own Group accounting policies, including inventory valuation, provisioning and revenue recognition.
• Manage the transfer of reporting responsibility to Dubai without interruption to the close.
• Establish the control framework, resource model and performance measures for the Record-to-Report process.
• Reconcile statutory actuals with plan and forecast consolidation before publication.
• Drive balance-sheet substantiation, gross-profit reconciliation and the reduction of post-close adjustments.

What we are looking for

• At least 8 years of group accounting and consolidation experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency organisation.
• Demonstrated ownership of month-end close across several jurisdictions.
• Strong IFRS technical capability, including foreign-currency translation and inventory valuation.
• Experience leading a reporting transition, shared-service migration or finance centralisation programme.
• A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CPA, together with audit-firm training.
• Experience in retail inventory accounting; fast-fashion experience is an advantage.
• Hands-on proficiency with SAP, 1C, Power BI and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership, process-governance and stakeholder-management skills.
• Working English and fluent Russian.
