About the Role The Growth Manager will be responsible for acquiring new clients for Onja's software development enterprise, building a scalable outbound engine that creates roles for future waves of students and our current cohort. This includes running multi-channel outreach (LinkedIn, email, cold calling), and testing and refining outbound experiments. The role also involves handling client relationships directly and potentially mentoring developers on professionalism and interview skills, working closely with the Enterprise Manager to align outreach with delivery capacity and client needs. It's a mix of hands-on selling and team leadership. Your responsibilities will include Acquire new clients for Onja's software development enterprise, securing roles for current and future cohorts of developers Design and run multi channel outbound campaigns (LinkedIn, email, cold calling) to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads Test, measure, and refine outbound experiments to build a scalable, repeatable client acquisition engine Manage and grow the client acquisition team, currently one person, with the potential to hire more and growth the team Mentor developers on professionalism, communication, and interview preparation to help them succeed with clients Track and report on pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and placement outcomes to inform strategy Represent Onja externally, building relationships and network connections that support long-term client acquisition Requirements: Demonstrated track record of independently generating new business through outbound (cold email, cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, or similar), not just managing inbound or warm leads Strong written and verbal English communication, sufficient to represent Onja credibly to enterprise clients and negotiate placements Evidence of resilience and self direction, comfortable building a sales function with ambiguity Willingness and ability to relocate to Toamasina, Madagascar for a minimum 12 month commitment Basic commercial reasoning, can construct and explain a sales pipeline, understands conversion funnels, can prioritise effort by expected value Why work with us Do impactful work: Working with Onja gives you the ability to make a real tangible difference with your work, and have a deep sense of purpose in your every-day.
