Novo Executive Search is partnering with a fast-growing UK technology company to appoint a Head of Manufacturing & Supply Chain.

Our client designs and supplies complex, high-value electronic systems for defence and security customers worldwide. Having completed its start-up phase, the business has secured significant multi-year international contracts and expects revenue to double. Quality has been central to its success to date. The next step is to build the manufacturing and supply chain operation that will support the business through its next phase of growth.

The role:

Reporting to the board, you will take ownership of manufacturing and the end-to-end supply chain. You will scale and transform the manufacturing model, including selecting and onboarding Tier 1 contract electronics manufacturers. You will also own key supplier relationships and contracts, and put in place the systems, quality framework and processes a growing business needs. You will lead and develop a team of around ten, building it as the function grows, and work closely with colleagues across the business to lead change collaboratively.

What we are looking for:

• A proven track record of building or transforming a manufacturing and supply chain operation, not simply running an established one
• Senior-level experience of selecting, negotiating with and managing contract manufacturers
• A technical background in high-tech electronics, ideally in low-to-medium-volume, high-value environments such as defence, aerospace, instrumentation or medical devices
• Experience of implementing quality systems and ERP
• A hands-on, collaborative leader who can develop people and take others with them through change
