$230K to $270K base + equity

My client is one of the fastest growing AI companies in the US. It grew annual revenue more than tenfold during 2025 with a team of around 50, and its voice AI agents now handle sales, support and logistics calls for thousands of businesses, including Fortune 500 names in healthcare, travel and technology.

It is hiring its first senior legal hire. You will build the legal function from scratch, act as Sales' lead legal partner on enterprise deals, and set the company's position on voice AI regulation.

The role

• Close enterprise agreements, including MSAs, DPAs, BAAs and order forms, quickly and with minimal reliance on outside counsel

• Build contract templates, negotiation playbooks and fallback positions from the ground up

• Set the company's legal position on call recording consent, TCPA, AI disclosure and customer use case reviews

• Partner with Sales on every enterprise deal, with direct impact on revenue

• Own platform terms, acceptable use policy, privacy policy and outside counsel spend

What you bring

• JD and active California State Bar membership

• 6+ years of commercial or technology transactions experience, or 4+ years in a tech transactions group at a top law firm

• Hands on experience personally redlining MSAs and DPAs end to end

• Working knowledge of privacy and AI regulation, including GDPR, CCPA and the EU AI Act

• A track record of building legal processes from nothing, such as templates and playbooks

• $230K to $270K base salary
