About the Opportunity

Elite Talent Hub Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established specialist joinery and bespoke interiors manufacturer based in Edenderry, Ireland.

We are seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor / Joinery Estimator with previous experience in joinery manufacturing, bespoke cabinetry, fitted furniture or specialist interior fit-out.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals currently working in Dubai or the wider UAE who are interested in relocating to Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, managing project costs and supporting the commercial delivery of bespoke joinery projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out material take-offs and prepare accurate cost breakdowns.
• Assess timber, MDF, plywood, veneers, laminates, ironmongery, labour and manufacturing costs.
• Prepare and manage tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditure and commercial performance.
• Manage variations, cost adjustments and commercial documentation.
• Work closely with project managers, CAD designers, production teams and senior management.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved project profitability.
• Maintain accurate estimating records, pricing schedules and project cost reports.
• Support commercial negotiations and project handovers.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Commercial Estimator or similar.
• Strong experience within joinery, bespoke furniture manufacturing, cabinetry or specialist interior fit-out is essential.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical joinery specifications.
• Knowledge of joinery materials, production processes and installation costs.
• Experience with material take-offs, tendering, pricing and cost management.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software.
• Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.

Important: Candidates with experience exclusively in civil engineering or general construction, without relevant joinery or bespoke interiors experience, will not be considered.
