We are currently supporting our client in hiring a Laboratory Manager to join their R&D / Development Center in Chiba, Japan.
This position will be involved in viral vector-related development and laboratory research, while also leading a small team of two members.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support viral vector-related R&D activities
• Plan and oversee laboratory experiments and development projects
• Manage daily laboratory operations and research progress
• Supervise 2 team members – 1 Taiwanese and 1 Japanese colleague
• Collaborate with local and cross-functional teams in Japan
Qualifications
• PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Life Science, or related disciplines
• Postdoctoral researchers are also highly welcome
• Background in Viral Vector, Virology, Molecular Biology, Gene Therapy, Cell Biology, or related areas is preferred
• Japanese proficiency around JLPT N2 level or above
• Intermediate English communication skills
• Willingness to relocate and work in Chiba, Japan
💰 Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and background
For candidates currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Research Scientist, Senior Scientist, or similar role in Taiwan, this could also be an opportunity to move into a laboratory leadership position in Japan.
