Job Description
This Japanese, Tokyo based, general contractor specializes in federal, military, and civil construction projects primarily working on U.S. Government facilities in Japan.
A uniquely positioned company they are experiencing rapid growth and recruiting English-speaking foreign nationals for projects in Japan. These projects include civil, marine, and federal infrastructure with key employment opportunities for Project Engineers, Civil Engineers, and Project Managers.
These are unique and rare opportunities to gain an international cultural experience whilst working on a major projects to U.S. standards.
We will be interviewing for positions now and throughout 2027.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and have not been declined a Japanese visa, or other international visa previously
- Minimum 3 year commitment
- Willing to relocate to Japan - THESE ARE NOT REMOTE
- You must have heavy civil, marine, federal, or infrastructure project experience
- You must have a Civil Engineering Degree, Mechanical Engineering Degree, Construction Management, or Architectural Degree.
- You will need to be able to relocate and commence employment between January and September 2027, or within 16-weeks of an employment offer

Employment Status: These are local employee roles based in Japan. Successful candidates will relocate as Japanese residents under corporate visa sponsorship. Salary will be paid in Japanese YEN
Visa Status: The company will sponsor your Japanese work visa.
Social: You will be enrolled in the Japanese national tax, healthcare, pension, and other standard systems.
Tax Status: All roles are local positions and not tax-free. All income is subject to local Japanese taxation. These are NOT expat packages, diplomatic roles, or military contracts.
