On behalf of one of our established clients, a leading infrastructure firm based in a prime West African location, we are seeking an experienced Marine Project Manager for an expatriate role (single status).
Key Responsibilities:- End-to-end management of a major marine/port infrastructure EPC project (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).
- Direct leadership of multidisciplinary site teams, specialist marine subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Primary client interface with the Employer, Engineer, Port Authority, and senior government representatives.
- Full control over project scheduling (Primavera P6), commercial budget, cash flow, and cost-to-complete management.
- Comprehensive contract administration under FIDIC/EPC terms, including variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT).
- Championing site-wide HSE compliance, marine safety protocols, and QA/QC standards.
- Education: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
- Overall Experience: Minimum 10–20 years in major civil/infrastructure construction.
- Marine Expertise: At least 5–10 years directly focused on marine, port, quay wall, jetty, or harbour construction.
- Project Management: 5–7+ years as a Project Manager / Project Director (not strictly a Construction Manager).
- Project Scale: Proven track record managing at least one major marine EPC project valued at US$50M+ (US$75M–100M+ preferred).
- Contracts & Tools: Solid working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and Primavera P6.
- Languages: Excellent written and spoken English.
- Profile: A hands-on, decisive, commercially aware leader with strong site discipline.
- Direct experience with quay walls (gravity/blockwork, combi-wall, or major marine retaining structures).
- Strong practical understanding of capital dredging, marine plant, and land reclamation.
- Experience executing works inside a live operational port.
- Prior international / developing-market experience (West Africa/Ghana experience is a major plus).
