-------------【 Job Description】-------------


You'll be responsible for the mass production design and development of automotive crash safety products—including airbags, seatbelts, and steering wheels—for various projects with Japanese OEMs (original equipment manufacturers).


【Specific Responsibilities】

・Designing and developing new products.

・Modifying and improving existing product specifications.

・Proposing designs tailored to specific vehicle models.

・Conducting various explanations and negotiations with the OEM regarding design projects.

・Optimizing costs and performance through design proposals, specification changes, and improvements.

・Evaluating performance through crash tests.

Your work will be centered on facilitating mass production development projects through negotiations with clients and internal departments. Creating drawings with 3D CAD is only a small part of the job.

Projects are launched for each vehicle and product type, and you'll work as part of a team with members from sales, purchasing, quality assurance, production management, production technology, and the factory. When production plants are located overseas, international members may also join the project.

*You'll be part of a product project team, with a team dedicated to each product (airbags, seatbelts, or steering wheels) for each OEM.

■Work Environment

■Required

・Experience in customer negotiations

・Graduates of science-related universities, graduate schools, vocational schools, or technical colleges (all disciplines welcome)

・Communication skills

・Experience in 3D CAD design within the manufacturing industry


■Preferred

・Design experience at an automotive manufacturer or parts manufacturer (Tier 1 supplier)

・Experience in the automotive industry, with design experience using 3D-CAD (CATIA V5, CATIA V6)

・Experience leading projects as a primary responsible engineer or team leader

・Practical experience using English
