While Spellman is not a household name, our products are used to make and often power many of the most advanced technologies that make modern life possible. With design and manufacturing sites in North America, Europe and Asia, we have become the preferred provider of high voltage power solutions for OEMs pushing the boundaries of technology around the world by designing and producing the products they need to power progress. About the Role: You will play a crucial role in engineering and technology projects from concept through prototype validation to production ramp-up, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Participate in design reviews, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fit, function, and compliance. Create and validate designs using CAD and analysis tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys). Perform engineering calculations for mechanical and thermal stresses. Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to optimize design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability (DFX principles). Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation, including 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and specifications. Support continuous improvement and upgrades to existing product lines. Mentor and support Mechanical Engineers during new product development projects. What You Need: BS in Mechanical Engineering required; MS preferred. 7–10 years of experience in power electronics packaging and electromechanical systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar CAD/FEA tools. Strong knowledge of electromechanical components and mechanical housing fabrication (sheet metal, weldments, fasteners); casting and plastic molding experience a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management. Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. Ability to distill complex technical topics into actionable insights. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Energetic, adaptable, and self-motivated problem solver. Our good faith salary estimate for this position is $105,000–$135,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
