Mid-Level Backend / Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

Join an engineering team at a fintech company building payment infrastructure for nonprofit organizations. You will take ownership of backend and full stack systems from design through production, with the opportunity to help shape architecture and product decisions.

What You'll Do

• Build and own backend services and components that support the payment platform, from initial design through production.

• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, and help establish engineering standards.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates in technical discussions, whiteboarding sessions, and design reviews.

• Improve monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior and inform product iteration.

• Work across the platform and contribute to a range of backend and full stack projects.

What We're Looking For

• Two to ten years of software engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in a technical field.

• Experience in fintech or payments infrastructure.

• Proficiency in Go or Node.js.

• Experience with Terraform and AWS infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and gRPC.

• Strong technical judgment, clear communication, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
