We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Nurse Management Consultant to provide public health leadership across the Central Australia and Barkly regions, supporting high-quality service delivery, outbreak response and clinical governance.

About the Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced nurse who thrives in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment and can provide strategic and operational leadership across public health services.

Working collaboratively with the CDC Coordinator and public health teams, you will support the oversight of public health responses to notifiable diseases, including outbreak response and emergency management. You will also provide leadership and support across CDC programs, including human resource management and clinical governance.

You will provide contemporary management of human, material and financial resources while supporting excellence in nursing practice and service delivery. A key focus of the role is fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting staff development and promoting safe, responsive and evidence-based healthcare.

You’ll bring high-level leadership and management skills, strategic thinking and the ability to successfully lead and support change in a complex multidisciplinary environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills will be essential, along with an understanding of the social and cultural factors that influence healthcare delivery for individuals and communities across Central Australia.
