About You
We’re looking for an experienced pharmacy technician who is ready to join a large, dynamic team and take their skills to the next level.
With our new department underway, you’ll soon have the opportunity to work in state-of-the-art facilities as part of JHH North Block and one of the largest public hospitals in NSW.
You’ll be someone who is keen to broaden your skillset and work to the full scope of practice. You’ll be supported by an experienced team of senior technicians and encouraged to undertake further training, develop new skills and explore opportunities to grow your career.
While this is initially a temporary position, there are expected to be ongoing opportunities for the right candidate.

Requirements
Completed a minimum of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate IV issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital Pharmacy or Community Dispensary or have qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent

- An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
- This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Completed a minimum of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate IV issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital Pharmacy or Community Dispensary or have qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent. Those holding Cert III may be considered at Grade 1 level
Proven organisational and problem-solving skills including ability to work self-directed, with minimal supervision and in a busy environment.
Previous experience in the provision of technical support to a hospital pharmacy such as demonstrated advanced dispensing skills/techniques, experience in ordering pharmaceuticals and managing stock holdings, experience in aseptic &/or cytotoxic manufacturing and proven excellence in operation of imprest distribution system
