Principal Solutions Architect

About the Role

The Principal Solutions Architect is our most senior hands-on architect in client delivery. You own the architecture of complex, high-risk client initiatives from first design to stable production, and you are who we bring in when a project's architecture is in trouble.This is a delivery role, not a presales role. Most of your work is inside live client engagements, across industries such as oil and gas, financial services, insurance and retail. As AI takes on more of the build, the architecture, integration, security and decision points around it matter more. Designing those well is your job.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture for a small number of engagements at a time, plus targeted reviews on others: applications, cloud, data, integration, identity, security, and AI where it is justified.
• Lead architecture recovery on struggling engagements: assess quickly, set a recovery plan with the delivery lead, and see it through.
• Make and document the key architecture decisions on our side, and agree them with the client's decision makers.
• Recommend the simplest fit for the problem (an existing product, custom software, automation or AI), provider-neutral and within the client's constraints, working with product, design and process leads.
• Lead the architecture through build, production readiness and stabilization, planning for handover or ongoing operation from day one.
• DevOps and Platform own the deployment decision.
• On AI-heavy engagements, own the AI architecture yourself (models, data, security, integration and provider choice) or work closely with the engagement's AI lead where one is assigned. Build in evaluation, human sign-off points, audit trails and cost tracking.
• Shape the technical solution for proposals and give the delivery view on what we can commit to.
• Turn architecture patterns that repeat across engagements into shared assets.
• Grow senior engineers into architects through real project work, design reviews and pairing.

• Proposals you shape hold up in delivery.
• At least one senior engineer is clearly growing toward an architect role through work with you.

Qualifications — Required

• Extensive hands-on experience in software engineering and solution architecture, including owning the architecture of complex enterprise systems that reached production.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud) and working knowledge of the others.
• Strong integration and enterprise architecture skills: APIs, event-driven systems, legacy modernization, identity and access, and data platforms.
• Practical experience delivering systems with AI components, and daily use of AI tools with a clear view of where they help and where they do not.
• Explains trade-offs clearly to engineers and client executives, and can say no with reasons.
• Background in consulting, professional services or a delivery partner.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Qualifications — Preferred

• Cloud architecture certification, regulated-industry experience, or fixed-price and managed delivery experience.
• Thai nationality is preferred, but not required.
