About the Role
Build full-stack products that support a venture capital firm's application pipeline, events, and internal operations. This role combines engineering, product design, and operational problem-solving, with ownership from understanding the problem through shipping the solution.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and ship applications for admissions, events, and internal workflows.
Develop event tools for registration, coordination, and media handling.
Integrate with external services such as calendars, messaging, email, and data systems.
Build semantic search and AI-powered features using large language models, embeddings, and natural language interfaces.
Automate application scheduling, notifications, status tracking, email triage, and deadlines.
Create dashboards and analytics, and work with operations teams to improve processes and surface useful information.
Make product and UX decisions, balancing quality and speed in a changing environment.
What We're Looking For
1 to 12 years of experience building and shipping full-stack products, including ownership of problem definition, UI, and deployment.
Strong frontend and backend skills, with experience building polished interfaces as well as reliable systems.
Experience with Rails, React, and PostgreSQL or comparable technologies, plus Python and integrations with APIs.
Recent experience building AI or LLM projects or production features, such as semantic search, embeddings, or workflow copilots.
Startup or early-stage company experience, with the ability to work autonomously amid ambiguity and without extensive product direction.
Strong computer science fundamentals, demonstrated through education or exceptional project work.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $185,000 to $485,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in the United States, five days per week. Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate near the San Francisco office.
