Product Engineer, Scrape

About the Role

Join a product engineering team building developer-facing tools that turn complex, changing web pages into reliable data for AI applications. You will own features from idea through production and help shape APIs that developers rely on in their products.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship developer-facing product features, from identifying user needs to production release.

• Improve the reliability and quality of browser-based web data products as websites change and deploy anti-automation measures.

• Turn ambiguous technical challenges into clear, intuitive APIs and product experiences.

• Work with engineers to shape the roadmap and make product and technical tradeoffs.

• Use the product, review developer feedback, debug customer integrations, and join customer calls to guide improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Three to eight years of product engineering experience, with a record of shipping features used by external developers.

• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, plus production experience with browser automation, anti-bot systems, or web agents.

• Experience with tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, or Chromium, and APIs for LLM-powered applications.

• AI-native working habits, including daily use of coding agents and an understanding of how agents use tools and web data.

• Ability to own work end to end, make decisions based on customer behavior, and move quickly through iteration.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $235,000 to $260,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site five days per week in San Francisco, California, or Toronto, Canada. Candidates must be able to work on-site in one of these locations.
