Product Engineer, Web Scraping

About the Role

Build developer-facing products that turn complex, frequently changing websites into reliable data and actions for AI applications. You will own features from idea through production and help shape the product roadmap as part of a small engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship developer-facing features, including APIs and tools, from early concepts through production.

• Own the reliability and quality of products that interact with websites that change and resist automation.

• Turn ambiguous technical and user problems into clear, dependable APIs and product experiences.

• Work with engineers to shape the roadmap and make product and technical tradeoffs.

• Use the product, review developer feedback, and work directly with customers to debug integrations and guide improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Three to eight years of product engineering experience, including shipping developer-facing products used by external developers.

• Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience, with production experience in browser automation, scraping, anti-bot systems, web agents, or related tooling.

• Experience with tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Chromium, REST APIs, and LLM APIs.

• AI-native working habits, including regular use of coding agents and an understanding of how agents use tools and web data.

• Ability to own features end to end, make decisions based on user behavior, and work directly with customers while maintaining product ownership.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $235,000 to $260,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site five days per week in San Francisco, California. Toronto, Canada is also an on-site location option.
