ABOUT MANEL

MANEL is a Dubai luxury fashion house founded in 2019, uniting French silhouettes with Gulf modesty and presence.

Our occasion wear is designed and made in our own production facility in Dubai, and is stocked at Harvey Nichols,

Galeries Lafayette Doha, Ounass and Tryano.

THE ROLE

You will lead our Dubai production facility end to end: planning, pattern making, cutting, sewing, finishing, quality and

dispatch. Your mandate is clear: every piece leaves right first time, on time, with minimal fabric waste.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Production planning

• Build the daily and weekly production plan, including the master cutter's plan, from the ready-to-go list, wholesale

orders and made-to-measure requests.

• Ensure all materials are issued from stock before each working day; maintain the pending and missing-materials

lists and escalate shortages early.

• Supervise pattern making, cutting, sewing and finishing, and resolve issues on the floor quickly.

Quality

• Own the MANEL quality standard: written specifications for stitching, fit, finishing, pressing and packaging for every

style.

• Inspect at three stages: incoming fabric and trims, in-line during production, and final inspection before packing.

• Audit incoming fabric rolls for shade, defects and shrinkage before they enter inventory.

• Run root-cause analysis on every defect, alteration and return, and close the loop with the production and design

teams.

Waste and rework

• Optimise cutting layouts to reduce fabric scrap, and manage remnants responsibly.

• Track rework, scrap and quality-related returns weekly and drive them down.

Dispatch and returns

• Supervise daily packing so urgent and wholesale orders ship on time and to luxury presentation standards.

• Receive and inspect returned items, grade them for resale, repair or write-off, and report the causes.

Team and design

• Lead, train and motivate tailors, cutters and finishers.

• Work with the Creative Director to turn designs and mood boards into production-ready garments, and manage

sample and prototype development.

• Maintain the materials catalogue (fabrics, trims, accessories) and the sample and swatch library.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 6+ years in garment production, including 3+ years leading a production or quality team, ideally in luxury, couture or

occasion wear.

• Strong pattern making and garment construction knowledge, with hands-on finishing skills.

• Experience with delicate fabrics such as chiffon, silk, crepe and embellished materials.

• Working knowledge of inspection standards and checklists, production planning, and spreadsheets or an ERP

system.

• Clear communication in English; Arabic, Hindi, Urdu or Tagalog is a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Competitive salary based on experience.

• UAE employment visa, health insurance, annual leave and end-of-service gratuity in line with UAE Labour Law.

• Working hours in line with UAE Labour Law; any overtime during peak seasons is compensated as required by law.

• The chance to build the quality system of a growing luxury house.
