RAW Resourcing is supporting an established marine organisation in Vietnam with the appointment of an experienced Project Manager to lead major shipbuilding projects.

We are looking for an accomplished shipbuilding professional with extensive experience managing complex newbuild projects from contract award through construction, commissioning and final delivery.

THE ROLE

The Project Manager will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of shipbuilding projects, coordinating engineering, procurement, production, subcontractors, classification societies and clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

⚓ Managing newbuild projects from commencement through vessel delivery

⚓ Developing and controlling project schedules, milestones, budgets and resources

⚓ Coordinating Engineering, Procurement, Production, QA/QC and Commissioning

⚓ Monitoring hull construction, outfitting, machinery, piping, electrical and marine systems activities

⚓ Managing project costs, variations, risks and commercial performance

⚓ Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and equipment manufacturers

⚓ Working closely with Owners, Classification Societies and Flag Authorities

⚓ Monitoring production progress against contractual and technical requirements

⚓ Driving quality, safety, schedule and cost performance

⚓ Supporting commissioning, harbour trials, sea trials and final vessel acceptance

⚓ Providing clear project reporting to senior management and clients

THE PERSON

We are looking for candidates with:

✅ Extensive Project Management experience within shipbuilding

✅ Strong track record delivering newbuild vessels

✅ Comprehensive understanding of the complete shipbuilding lifecycle

✅ Strong technical knowledge of ship construction, outfitting and marine systems

✅ Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and production teams

✅ Strong commercial, contractual and budget management capability

✅ Experience working with shipowners, Class, suppliers and subcontractors

✅ Fluent/professional English is essential
