East Maitland | Full-time or Part-time
Love clinical work but tired of admin, back-to-back sessions and nowhere to grow? At The Hummingbird Centre we've built a practice around one idea: the best client outcomes come from well-supported clinicians.
Why join us
Join a small, close team in our East Maitland clinic, backed by The Hummingbird Centre's network of clinics across the Hunter. Our experienced admin team handles bookings, referrals, billing, reminders and client communication, so your day is focused on clinical work.
What you'll get
- A permanent employee role with leave entitlements
- A significant professional development budget, plus hundreds of hours of free training through the Hummingbird Professional Development Network
- Supervision and mentoring from local, national and international experts. Registrars get supervision paid for by us, in work time
- A sustainable caseload of around six sessions, or equivalent report-writing hours, a day
- Flexibility to design your week, full-time or part-time
- A clear career pathway, with opportunities to supervise, mentor, train and grow into leadership roles
- Support to develop your interests in assessment, trauma, neurodiversity, perinatal mental health and more
- AI-supported systems that cut down admin time
- A contribution towards relocation costs for the right candidate
The role
You'll provide assessment and therapy across the lifespan from our East Maitland clinic, as part of a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, sexologists and psychiatrists. Our vision is simple: to connect as many people as possible to healing by nurturing, supporting and developing our clinicians.
About you
You bring warmth, curiosity and professionalism to your work, and you want to grow in a team that invests in its people. You'll have:
- General registration with AHPRA (Clinical Psychologists and Registrars welcome)
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
- Professional indemnity insurance
- A current Working with Children Check and police check, or willingness to get them
- Full working rights in Australia (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
How to apply
Apply with your CV. A cover letter is optional; a few lines about the kind of caseload you'd love to build is plenty. Not sure if you're ready to move? Send us a message for a confidential chat.
