About the Role:

To keep supermarket refrigeration running reliably and efficiently. That covers display cabinets, cold rooms, centralized compressor racks, condensing units and plug-in equipment. Most of the techinican time will go to breakdown calls and planned preventive maintenance, on his own or with the team.

This is a hands-on field role for someone who can find the root cause and fix it right the first time. He should also be comfortable talking with store managers and customer engineers.

What you'll do:

  • Respond to breakdown calls and diagnose refrigeration, electrical and control faults on site.

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to agreed schedules and standards.

  • Service and repair centralized rack systems, condensing units, remote and plug-in display cabinets, and cold rooms.

  • Repair and overhaul compressors, including semi-hermetic reciprocating and scroll.

  • Braze copper to a high standard with nitrogen purging.

  • Detect and fix refrigerant leaks. Recover, evacuate to verified vacuum levels, and charge correctly.

  • Replace filter driers and other components following Epta's technical standards.

  • Troubleshoot and program electronic controllers and supervisory systems (Carel, Danfoss, Eliwell), including electronic expansion valves, sensors and inverters/VFDs.

  • Read and work from electrical diagrams and refrigeration schematics.

  • Support new store commissioning and start-up when needed.

  • Fill in every job digitally: service reports, readings, photos, parts used and delivery notes, uploaded in the field app on the same day.

  • Keep your service vehicle stocked, organized and ready, so most jobs get fixed on the first visit.

  • Tell customers clearly what you found, what you did and what you recommend.

  • Follow Epta safety rules, refrigerant handling procedures and UAE regulations at all times.

    Working Pattern:

  • Shifts rotate during the month based on business needs, and include night shifts.

  • Shifts are active working time. You'll be on breakdowns or PPM for the whole shift, not on standby.

  • You may be called out outside working hours or on off days for emergencies.

What are we lookin for?

  • 5–7 years of hands-on commercial refrigeration experience.

  • Supermarket or hypermarket refrigeration experience in the GCC (racks, multideck cabinets, cold rooms, condensing units).

  • Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills.

  • Technical diploma or vocational qualification in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical or electrical.

  • Fluent English, written and spoken. This is mandatory. You'll write reports and deal with customers directly.

  • Confident with smartphone apps and digital tools. We work fully digital on Microsoft 365 and a field service app, and we expect everything to be documented properly and on time.

  • Disciplined, reliable and able to manage your own workload in the field.

  • A valid UAE driving license is a plus but not a must. If you don't have one, we can co-pay the cost of getting a local license.

No CO2 experience? That's fine. We train you on CO2 transcritical and natural refrigerant systems in the Epta Service Academy.

What we offer:

  • Structured technical training through the Epta Service Academy, from basic to advanced, including CO2 technology.

  • Company service vehicle, professional tools and calibrated instruments.

  • Digital field tools, so you spend less time on paperwork.

  • A growing company with room to move up. If you show the right technical and soft skills, there are opportunities to grow within Epta.

Competitive package: salary, UAE employment visa, medical insurance, and overtime per UAE Labour Law.
