Registered Nurse – Outpatient Cardiology

Role Overview: The Care Team RN provides specialized nursing care in the Cardiology Outpatient Practice, focusing on Valve and Structural Heart Disease Clinics. Responsibilities include pre-visit preparation, direct patient care, education, and care transitions, both face-to-face and remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care aligned with the Mayo Nursing Care Model.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and team members.
• Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, mentoring, and committee participation.
• Delegate patient care appropriately based on skill, experience, and resource availability.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; one year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license and BLS certification; additional state or specialty certifications as needed.
• Experience in direct patient care, preferably in cardiac settings, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
