RIG Recruitment is working with a client who is exchanged focusing on FX and CFDs. The clients management is based in Dubai and is looking for a strong Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit Manager to join them.

It is a builder's role. The right candidate has done the compliance and risk work inside a regulated

FX or CFD broker, knows what good looks like, and wants the opportunity to put it in place rather

than maintain someone else's version of it.

Key responsibilities

Compliance framework and monitoring

• Design and implement a compliance monitoring programme covering conduct of business,

client onboarding and residency, marketing and financial promotion, client money, best

execution, complaints handling and record keeping.

• Write and maintain the policy and procedure set required of a licensed Investment Dealer,

and keep it aligned with FSC Mauritius rules and guidelines.

• Own the jurisdictional perimeter: the restricted-country framework, residency and

geolocation controls, and the evidence that they work.

• Establish the pre-approval process for all marketing and partner material, and the

monitoring of partner channels.

Partner and distribution oversight

• Build the due-diligence, agreement and monitoring framework for introducing brokers and

Master IBs, including conduct rules, suspension and termination procedures.

• Produce the monthly distribution-conduct report for the CEO and Board: approvals,

breaches, suspensions, complaint rates by partner, jurisdiction analysis.

AML and financial crime

• Work with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer to build and maintain the AML/CFT

programme under FIAMLA and the FSC AML/CFT Handbook: business risk assessment,

customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence, source-of-funds standards for higher-

risk and crypto-funded clients, screening, transaction monitoring and suspicious-

transaction reporting.

• Extend financial-crime controls to partners as counterparties.

Risk management

• Design the enterprise risk framework: risk appetite, risk register, key risk indicators and the

escalation thresholds above which a decision goes to the CEO or the Board.

• Establish first-line risk controls for market, credit, liquidity and operational risk appropriate

to a principal-dealing CFD broker, working with the dealing desk and finance.

Internal audit and control testing

• Develop the annual internal-audit and control-testing plan, execute testing across the

business, track findings to closure, and report results to the CEO and Board.

• Coordinate external audit, regulatory inspections and any independent reviews, and own the

remediation tracker.

Regulatory engagement and reporting

• Maintain the regulator-correspondence log; prepare regulatory returns, notifications and

responses; support engagement with the FSC and, where relevant, other regulators and the

management company.

• Monitor regulatory change across the jurisdictions the firm touches and translate it into

action.

Governance, training and culture

• Prepare the compliance, risk and audit sections of the Board pack; maintain the conflicts

and gifts registers; deliver role-based training to staff and partners.

Required

• Five to eight years in compliance, risk or internal audit within a regulated FX or CFD

brokerage, or in a financial-services advisory practice serving that sector.

• Working knowledge of the regulation of retail FX and CFD brokers: client money and

segregation, best execution, leverage and product rules, financial promotion, introducing-

broker oversight, complaints handling and record keeping.

• Hands-on AML/CFT experience, including customer due diligence, screening, transaction

monitoring and suspicious-transaction reporting. Experience with crypto-funded flows is an

advantage.

• Direct experience of at least one of: FSC Mauritius, CySEC, FSCA, FCA, ASIC, DFSA, FSRA

or a comparable regulator, including preparing returns and handling regulatory

correspondence.

Salary budget: 35,000 - 45,000 AED per month + medical + visa + flights + bonus
