I'm working with a well funded AI and robotics startup in NYC. Their robots run real world experiments around the clock, and AI decides what to try next. Small team, serious backing, and work that leaves the simulator every day.

They need a Robotics Engineer to build the autonomy behind it: robot arms and mobile robots that have to work reliably in a live environment.

What you'll do

• Build and deploy motion planning, control and manipulation for robot arms and mobile robots
• Integrate robots with the hardware and instruments around them
• Develop in simulation, then get it working on real hardware
• Ship code that runs on physical robots every day

What they're looking for

• Strong Python and C++
• ROS 2 (MoveIt and Nav2 a big plus)
• Kinematics, motion planning and trajectory generation
• Hands on hardware integration with arms and/or mobile robots
• Comfortable in Isaac Sim, Gazebo or MuJoCo

Nice to have

• Multi robot coordination or behaviour trees
• Robots deployed in production or industrial automation

Package: Up to $250k base, equity, fully covered healthcare, unlimited PTO. Visa transfers supported.
