SAP BTP HANA Cloud Modeler | XSA Migration

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP HANA Cloud Modeler with strong hands-on expertise in HANA Cloud modeling, XSA, and HANA Cloud migration.

If you have 5+ years of HANA modeling experience and have successfully delivered HANA implementations in production environments, we’d love to hear from you.

Roles & Responsibilities

SAP HANA Cloud Modeling

• Design, develop, and maintain data models in SAP BTP HANA Cloud.
• Develop and optimize:
• Calculation Views
• Table Functions
• SQL Stored Procedures
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and performance-optimized HANA solutions.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective HANA data models.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing HANA models and database objects.
• Ensure solutions follow development standards and best practices.

HANA Implementation

• Participate as a HANA Modeler in end-to-end HANA implementation projects.
• Proven experience delivering at least 2 full-cycle HANA implementations in productive environments.
• Work closely with functional teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Support testing, deployment, production cutover, and post-production activities.

XSA & HANA Cloud Migration

• Strong understanding of SAP HANA XS Advanced (XSA) features and capabilities.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on XSA migration experience is required.
• Perform and support HANA Cloud migrations using the XSA Migration Toolkit.
• Analyze existing HANA/XSA applications and support migration to HANA Cloud.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure successful migration and stabilization.
• Support application and database modernization activities.

SAP Technologies & Integration

• Experience with XSJS and XSOData.
• Good understanding of SDA (Smart Data Access), SDI (Smart Data Integration), and SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) concepts.
• Good working knowledge of SAP BW on HANA.
• Understand integration and data provisioning concepts relevant to SAP HANA environments.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Experience working with Bitbucket and Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD processes for HANA development and deployment.
• Support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Follow appropriate version control and DevOps practices.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of SAP HANA modeling experience
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP HANA Cloud
• Expertise in: Calculation Views, Table Functions, SQL Stored Procedures
• Strong SQL skills – mandatory
• Good working knowledge of SAP BW on HANA
• Experience with 2 full-cycle HANA implementations in productive environments
• Deep understanding of SAP HANA XS Advanced (XSA)
• Minimum 2 years of XSA Migration experience – mandatory
• Hands-on experience with HANA Cloud Migration using the XSA Migration Toolkit
• Experience with XSOData and XSJS
• Knowledge of SDA, SDI, and SLT
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Bitbucket
