About the Role

At Rapidus, we are developing and manufacturing advanced 2nm logic semiconductors, a technology that has not yet been developed or mass-produced in Japan. We are aiming to begin volume production in 2027.

To ensure that today's expertise and technology are successfully passed on to the next generation, we are actively seeking talented early-career professionals and second new graduates who are eager to build long-term careers with us and contribute to the future of the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Depending on your interests, background, and experience, you will be assigned to one of the following roles within our advanced semiconductor front-end process organization.

1. Process Engineer

Responsible for the development of semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes.

You will work on specialized process development in areas such as:

• Cleaning Processes
• Thin Film Deposition
• Photolithography
• Etching Processes
• FEOL (Front-End of Line)
• BEOL (Back-End of Line)

2. Process Integration Engineer

Responsible for integrating and optimizing individual process modules developed by various engineering teams.

This role involves understanding the strengths and limitations of each process unit and combining them to establish the most effective semiconductor manufacturing flow.

3. Device Engineer

Responsible for semiconductor device development, evaluation, analysis, and reliability assessment.

You will work closely with process and integration teams to ensure device performance and reliability meet target specifications.

4. Design & PDK Engineer

Responsible for developing the design environment required for customers and internal teams to design semiconductor products using Rapidus process technologies.

You will contribute to the development and maintenance of Process Design Kits (PDKs) and associated design infrastructure.

* Design Engineers may be located in Tokyo instead of Hokkaido.

Required

Degree from a Technical College (KOSEN) or University in:

• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Preferred

• Experience working for a semiconductor company or semiconductor equipment manufacturer within the past three years.

Nice to Have

• TOEIC score of 600 or above
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency

【業務内容】

下記業務の中から、希望や経験に応じてお任せします。

■最先端半導体前⼯程に関わる技術系職種

①プロセスエンジニア

半導体前⼯程のプロセス開発を主にやっていただきます。

洗浄⼯程、成膜⼯程、フォトリソグラフィ、エッチング⼯程などの⼯程において専⾨分野の開発に取り組んでいただきます。

（FEOL/BEOL）

②プロセスインテグレーションエンジニア

プロセス開発の各ユニットをとりまとめ、各ユニットの優位性を理解し、最適な製造⼯程を作り上げる業務です。

③デバイスエンジニア

デバイス開発から評価、解析、信頼性を⾏う業務です。

④設計‧PDKエンジニア

ラピダスのプロセスを使って設計を⾏うための設計環境開発を構築していく業務です。

↳設計エンジニアのみ、東京勤務も可となっております。

応募資格

【better】

・直近3年以内での半導体企業、装置メーカーでの勤務経験

【must】

・高等専門学校、大学で、電気・電子・機械を学んでいた経験

・国産半導体復活への強い思い

【want】

・TOEIC 600点以上

・ビジネスレベルの日本語力歓迎
