Senior Accountant

A well-funded, fast-growing AI company on the San Francisco Peninsula is adding a Senior Accountant as it brings its bookkeeping in-house from an outside firm. This is the first dedicated, hands-on accountant on a small finance team that recently moved to a modern accounting platform. You’ll own AP, AR, vendor management and the general ledger, play a central role in a faster, more accurate month-end close, and help shape how the books run as the company scales.

What They’re Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on accounting at the Senior Accountant level, doing the work rather than reviewing it
• Strong month-end close, reconciliation and general ledger fundamentals
• Solid AP, AR and purchase-to-payment experience
• Experience maintaining a chart of accounts and keeping expense coding clean
• In-house experience at a larger, audited company preferred
• Audit support, consolidation or system migration experience a plus
• CPA or progress toward one a plus

On-site role

You’ll set the standards for how the books are kept at one of the best-funded companies in AI, at a stage where your work directly shapes the company’s first audits and its growth from here.
