About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR AI/ML ENGINEER will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining AI services and pipelines that convert raw customer data into actionable outputs. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality AI product experiences by implementing evaluation metrics, monitoring production systems, and integrating customer feedback to drive improvements. The role demands ownership from design through deployment and ongoing system performance management.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain production AI services and pipelines including retrieval, context construction, and model provider selection.
• Develop evaluation datasets, benchmarks, regression tests, guardrails, and fallback mechanisms to monitor and enhance AI quality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems focusing on latency, cost, reliability, and failure resolution.
• Manage the full data pipeline from raw data ingestion to output generation, incorporating customer feedback.
• Lead projects through design, implementation, deployment, measurement, and continuous monitoring phases.

Requirements:

• Four to ten years of applied AI, ML, or software engineering experience with ownership of customer-facing production systems.
• Proficiency in Python, asynchronous services, and integration with hosted large language model APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or Cohere.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, embeddings, context construction, agent orchestration, and AI system evaluations or CI/CD.
• Familiarity with production engineering tools including Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, React, TypeScript, GCP, Terraform, Docker, or Datadog.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
• Ability to apply systems thinking, communicate clearly, and pragmatically address technical debt and ambiguous challenges; experience with multimodal or enterprise workflows is advantageous.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary is $180,000 to $275,000 USD annually.
• Visa sponsorship is available.
