The Role
We are looking for an experienced architect at Senior level, with excellent design, communication and project delivery skills, who wants a new challenge and the chance to move into studio leadership.
Working closely with the Director, you will lead key projects, raise design quality across the studio and play a central part in the practice’s continued growth. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear pathway to Associate.
.
You Will:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex projects across our hospitality, heritage, regeneration and retrofit sectors, from concept through planning and technical design to construction.
- Act as project lead on key commissions, directing multidisciplinary consultant teams where Rejen is Lead Consultant.
- Set and uphold design, technical and delivery standards, mentoring architects and technologists in the studio.
- Shape design direction, resourcing, and improvements to studio operations and workflows.
- Represent Rejen with clients, consultants, planning authorities and statutory bodies.
- Contribute to business development, bids and thought leadership as the practice grows.
.
Who We Are Looking For
Essential:
- ARB and/or RIAI registered (RIBA membership welcome), with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Excellent design ability, shown through a strong portfolio.
- Clear evidence of delivery: leading high-quality projects from planning through technical design to completion on site.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting to clients, leading design teams and mentoring others.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, good working knowledge of Revit, and enthusiasm for adopting new AI tools to improve workflows across the practice.
- Commercial awareness, sound judgement and the confidence to take responsibility.
- A real interest in adaptive reuse, conservation and new build in sensitive and historic settings.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland.
Highly desirable:
- Conservation accreditation (training can be offered to the right candidate).
- Experience of BCAR and of working on projects in the Republic of Ireland.
Desirable:
- Experience of hospitality, heritage or adaptive reuse projects.
