About the Role
Join the founding engineering team at a Series A AI analytics company building tools that make business intelligence more accessible. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work across the product and codebase, building scalable data systems and collaborating closely with engineering, product, and customers.
What You'll Do
Build and scale data pipelines for latency-critical analytical workloads.
Work across multiple areas of the codebase and product rather than focusing on a single silo.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and customers to shape the product and engineering roadmap.
Design and build cost-efficient, secure, scalable systems on modern cloud infrastructure.
Contribute to the team's engineering culture and technical direction.
What We're Looking For
At least 4 years of experience as a backend engineer in product, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
Experience building or working with large-scale data pipelines.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, statistics, or mathematics from a highly regarded university.
US work authorization. TN, case-by-case H-1B transfer, and OPT with at least two H-1B lottery attempts remaining are considered.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $250,000 to $300,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available, subject to the work authorization considerations listed above.

Hybrid role based in San Mateo, California.
