Senior Software Engineer, Backend

About the Role

Join a backend engineering team building consumer-facing features for a gaming business. You will own substantial parts of the engineering system and help deliver projects that support business goals.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship consumer-facing backend features that support core business metrics.

• Develop data-driven systems for challenges such as matchmaking and fraud prevention.

• Improve engineering processes, including CI/CD pipelines and experimentation platforms, so the team can ship efficiently.

• Take ownership of projects from development through delivery and look for opportunities to contribute across the engineering system.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years of software engineering experience.

• Experience owning and shipping consumer-facing backend features end to end, with measurable business impact.

• Proficiency in Go, or the ability and willingness to ramp up quickly.

• Hands-on experience with data-driven systems such as matchmaking, anti-fraud, recommendation engines, or similar.

• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines or experimentation platforms.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is $200,000 to $400,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
