Senior Financial Analyst (Relocation to Malta Provided) Location: St. Julian’s, Malta Function: Global Finance Operations Reporting line: Accounting Manager Job Summary Join EF’s international Finance Operations hub in St. Julian’s. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in driving strong financial routines and ensuring high-quality accounting and reporting across the organization. The role combines oversight of transactional activities with close business support to deliver clear, actionable financial insights. You will work closely with our BPO provider and business teams to drive meaningful variance analysis and clear, transparent explanations. Eligibility (non-negotiable): You must have the legal right to live and work in the EU (Malta). We cannot sponsor visas nor consider non‑EU candidates. Key responsibilities Support multi-entity, multi-country accounting, working with international stakeholders across EF locations Own high-quality balance sheet reconciliations for assigned areas, with clear aging/clearing actions, and followed up on open items. Work closely with BPO, aligning needed information and review of deliverables (e.g., journals, reconciliations, schedules, and close packs) for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Coordinate A/P and A/R across Treasury, the BPO, and business stakeholders. Partner with cost center owners to ensure meaningful variance analysis, clear commentary, and timely follow-up actions. Process improvements related to use of technology driving the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes. Why Join Us? Required qualifications & experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Business / Economics (or similar). 3+ years experience in finance operations, accounting, or similar roles. Strong understanding of month-end routines, reconciliations, and control discipline. Experience working with an ERP and finance systems. High attention to detail. Continuous improvement mindset (process, templates, routines, root-cause fixes). Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in another European language is highly desirable. Experience in a matrix organization and/or shared service environment. Note: This role description is not exhaustive.
