Senior Network Engineer (Enterprise Infrastructure)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to represent our organisation and take technical ownership across the complete network lifecycle—from architecture, routing, and switching to enterprise firewall configuration, migrations, and data centre deployments.
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing resilient network topologies, executing complex migration activities, and resolving high-severity performance and connectivity issues across multi-site hybrid environments.

- Enterprise Network Engineering: Configure, deploy, and maintain core network hardware and software, including enterprise routers, switches, next-generation firewalls (NGFW), and wireless infrastructure.
- Network Migrations & Implementations: Lead network transition and migration projects across enterprise sites, corporate offices, and data centres (DCs) with zero unscheduled downtime.
- Troubleshooting & Performance Optimisation: Diagnose and resolve complex routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and low-latency network performance bottlenecks.
- Network Security & Access Control: Implement robust firewall security policies, VPN gateways, segmentation, and access control lists (ACLs) to safeguard data integrity.
- Technical Documentation & Standards: Author, review, and maintain network topology diagrams, configuration runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and inventory registers.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional technical teams, hardware vendors, and project managers to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions on time.
- Routing & Switching Foundations: Strong hands-on commercial experience managing enterprise routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VXLAN).
- Firewall & Security Technologies: Proven track record configuring and administering enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or Check Point).
- Wireless & DC Infrastructure: Practical experience deploying enterprise Wi-Fi solutions (Aruba, Cisco Catalyst/Meraki) and working within enterprise data centre environments.
- Protocols & Architecture: Deep working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VRFs, SD-WAN, IPsec/SSL VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Location Requirements: Currently residing in Australia with valid work rights or eligibility for 482 visa sponsorship/transfer.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise/Security), PCNSE (Palo Alto), NSE 4+ (Fortinet), or ACMP (Aruba).
- Valid General Construction Induction Card (White Card) for site and data centre access.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
