Ideal Candidate

Who can shape product underlying structure beyond superficial UI and reflect on past decisions for improvement. They have designed features with AI‑driven behaviors and understand appropriate boundaries for AI trust. Comfortable defining object models as well as refining fine‑grained transition details. Passionate about creators, storytelling, and exploring the emerging intersection of design and AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the end‑to‑end experience from users articulating their creative goals to final artwork completion.
• Enable users to observe the creation process, make timely adjustments, and preserve task continuity.
• Design when the Agent should ask questions, how progress is presented, and how errors are handled.
• Allow simple experiments to naturally evolve into ongoing projects.
• Continuously reduce user cognitive and operational burden as features expand.
• Explore approaches to prototyping with AI and designing AI behaviors.

Key Qualifications

Hard Skill

• Systems and objects – you've changed how a product is structured, not just how it looks.
• Designing for AI, or other systems where the behavior is the interface.
• AI in your daily practice – prototyping in code, Claude, Figma Make or similar, with real opinions on where it helps.
• Strong UI craft – polished, considered, in service of clarity.
• You write well – words in the product are design.

Soft Skill

• Product mindset – you care how the whole thing holds together, not just your screens.
• Structure from ambiguity – you're the one who makes the fuzzy thing clear.
• Open and collaborative – you thrive on feedback and co-creation.
• Growth mindset – the tools change monthly, and you enjoy that.
• Strong communicator – you can explain why a structure is right, not just that it looks right.

Compensation

$150K-$200K salary range · Offers equity · Offers bonus

Approximately $300K-$450K total compensation, including base, bonus and equity.

Location & Work Setup

• Bay Area (full-time, on-site or hybrid)
• High collaboration with founders and global engineering team.
• Visa sponsorship available.
