Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

About the Role

This is a high-ownership backend engineering role at a fast-growing consumer gaming company. You will drive core product features and complex data systems that directly move key business metrics, sitting at the intersection of product impact and infrastructure craft.

What You'll Do

• Build consumer-facing backend features that measurably improve core business outcomes.

• Solve data-driven problems such as optimal matchmaking, anti-fraud systems, and recommendation engines.

• Improve engineering velocity through better CI/CD pipelines and experimentation platforms.

• Own and deliver backend systems end-to-end with a high degree of autonomy.

• Continuously take on expanding scope as the team and product grow.

What We're Looking For

• 5 to 8 years of backend engineering experience, ideally at a fast-growing startup or a company with a high engineering bar.

• Proficiency in Go (Golang), or a demonstrated track record of ramping quickly in new languages.

• Proven ability to ship consumer-facing backend features end-to-end with measurable impact.

• Comfort owning and delivering systems with minimal direction in a high-velocity environment.

• Experience with data-driven systems such as matchmaking, anti-fraud, or recommendation engines is a strong plus.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with improving CI/CD pipelines or internal experimentation platforms is a plus.

• Strong CS fundamentals; a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $400,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
