About the job
MeeBoss is sharing this role on behalf of Tech Careers. A Series B AI data company producing speech and audio datasets for frontier models is seeking four Technical Product Managers to own areas of its data production platform.
This role requires a builder who writes initial prototypes in SQL and scripts before partnering with engineering to scale systems for production.
Job title
SF or NYC Based Technical Product Manager, AI Training Data Platform
Location
San Francisco, CA or New York, NY (On-site)
Compensation
$145,000 to $225,000 base salary plus competitive equity
Why this role
- Join a team of 50 backed by top-tier venture and strategic investors.
- Build alongside peers in the same seat, with four openings hired simultaneously.
- Work with a customer base including most of the largest US tech companies and leading AI labs.
- Operate in a high-ownership environment where you build the first version of systems yourself.
What you will do
- Set the strategy and roadmap for your area of the data platform, from early prototypes to production volume.
- Build first versions yourself, including SQL queries, scripts, dashboards, and working prototypes, then hand them to engineering to harden and scale.
- Translate model capabilities customers care about into concrete data workflows, requirements, and project plans.
- Take new systems from idea to deployment across operations, engineering, and research.
- Track throughput, quality, and cost, and use that data to decide what to build or fix next.
- Find and remove the bottlenecks that slow down how training data gets produced.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years as a product manager, technical program manager, founder, forward deployed engineer, or technical operator.
- A real mix of product ownership and hands-on technical work; experience in only one area is insufficient.
- Strong SQL used as a daily working tool.
- A track record of building lightweight prototypes or MVPs end-to-end on your own.
- Experience building your own tools in operationally complex work, whether at a startup, in consulting, or in operations.
- Recent experience at a high-growth, venture-backed startup, or in a high-ownership role at a top tech company.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or another technical STEM field.
- Strong product judgment and an easy working relationship with engineers and researchers.
- Ability to work on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City.
Benefits
- Competitive equity package.
- Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers.
