Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a Simulation & Optimization Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Discrete Event Simulation, Monte Carlo Simulation, and Optimization to support critical airline planning and operational decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and enhance simulation models supporting airline planning processes.
Build Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models using SimPy or similar frameworks.
Apply Monte Carlo Simulation to model uncertainty and evaluate operational scenarios.
Use optimization algorithms and heuristic approaches to solve complex planning challenges.
Perform data analysis, processing, and visualization to generate actionable insights.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Business Analysts, and Business Stakeholders.
Translate complex technical models and insights into clear business recommendations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and expansion of the ALIGN simulation platform.
Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Qualification & Experience

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
3+ years of relevant professional experience
Strong Python programming skills
Hands-on experience with SimPy / Discrete Event Simulation
Knowledge of Monte Carlo Simulation
Understanding of Optimization Algorithms & Heuristics
Strong Data Analysis, Data Processing & Visualization skills
Background in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Nice to Have

Airline Operations experience
Airline Planning / Scheduling experience
Logistics or Transportation Optimization experience
Experience with large-scale simulation and optimization problems
Exposure to the ALIGN simulation platform
