Site Technical Engineer (Construction)

We are looking for an experienced Site Technical Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating technical engineering activities, managing submissions and approvals, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information.
• Prepare, review, and track shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, specialist designers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor engineering deliverables and approvals to ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Maintain accurate engineering registers, submission logs, and weekly progress reports.
• Follow up on consultant comments, revisions, and resubmissions until final approval.
• Identify potential technical delays, procurement constraints, and approval issues, escalating them to management when required.
• Support site teams with technical clarifications and coordinate documentation for project handover.
• Ensure all technical submissions comply with project specifications, approved designs, and applicable standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Technical Engineer or Technical Office Engineer with a main contractor in the UAE.
• Experience in high-rise residential or commercial building projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, and consultant approval procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering documentation systems.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up effectively with different stakeholders.
• Good command of English.
