Software Engineer

About the Role

Join a fintech engineering team building and operating payment infrastructure for nonprofit organizations. As a backend or full stack engineer, you will own systems from design through production and help shape the platform's architecture and engineering practices.

What You'll Do

• Build, ship, and maintain backend services and components that power the payment platform.

• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, and help establish team standards.

• Work closely with product and engineering leaders in technical discussions, design sessions, and collaborative problem-solving.

• Improve monitoring and alerting to better understand product behavior and support iteration.

• Contribute across the platform, including full stack projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Two to ten years of software engineering experience, including ownership of scalable backend systems from design to production.

• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• A bachelor's degree in a technical field and strong computer science fundamentals.

• Proficiency in Go or Node.js, with experience using PostgreSQL, REST APIs, or gRPC.

• Experience with AWS and Terraform, plus a background in fintech or payments infrastructure.

• Clear communication, sound technical judgment, and comfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $180,000 to $230,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
