Compensation: $150,000–$230,000 Base Salary + Equity

We are partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed AI healthcare startup in New York City that is transforming how healthcare organizations communicate with patients.

The company is building an AI-powered communication platform that automates complex patient interactions and administrative workflows, including appointment scheduling, billing inquiries, prescription refills, and follow-ups.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Full Stack) who enjoys building products end-to-end, solving complex engineering problems, and working in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready full-stack applications powering AI-driven healthcare communication.
• Build scalable backend services and intuitive frontend experiences using modern technologies.
• Integrate applications with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, legacy healthcare platforms, and real-time voice infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate customer requirements into reliable software.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of features throughout the software development lifecycle, from design through production.

What We're Looking For

• 3–6+ years of professional full-time software engineering experience, preferably building production applications at technology companies.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-stack development, including frontend and backend engineering.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated experience building, shipping, and maintaining production software.
• Solid understanding of APIs, system architecture, debugging, and application performance.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in NYC's Flatiron District, 5 days per week.

Professional engineering experience should extend beyond personal projects or founder-only experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience working at early-stage or high-growth startups.
• Exposure to AI-powered applications, LLMs, conversational AI, or voice technologies.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs, legacy systems, or healthcare software.
• Familiarity with real-time systems, distributed services, or complex backend workflows.
• Experience building products from concept through production.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $150,000–$230,000 annually, depending on experience.
• Engineers with approximately 2–4 years of experience can expect a base salary of $150K–$200K.
• Higher compensation and a Senior Software Engineer title may be available for more experienced candidates.
