About the Role
Join a small engineering team at a biotechnology company building software to digitize immune-system data for clinical trials. You will work across product engineering, scientific data analysis, and lab workflow automation to help research teams use complex data more effectively.
What You'll Do
Build full-stack product features, including customer-facing trial dashboards, sample notifications, and data visualization improvements.
Apply machine learning techniques to automate cancer-cell boundary detection in cytometry data.
Automate lab workflows from sample preparation through data analysis.
Ship reliable, production-grade software that supports clinical trial work.
Work directly with scientists and clients to inform product development.
What We're Looking For
Typically 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated ability to ship quality production software.
Proficiency in Python for backend development and React with TypeScript for frontend development.
Experience using AWS, GCP, or Azure to deploy scalable services.
Experience applying machine learning to data analysis, ideally involving cytometry or similar boundary-detection problems.
Background working with large scientific or complex datasets, such as imaging, genomics, climate, or cytometry data.
Experience building customer-facing dashboards or data visualization tools, and examples of measurable impact in prior work.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $90,000 to $185,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site, five days per week, with the primary location in Salt Lake City, Utah. San Mateo, California is also an available work location.
