Sr / Finance Associate (Pune/Mohali) RTR

Job Description: Accountant/Sr. Accountant – R2R (WORK FROM OFFICE) Zeni is a new age, full-service finance firm, built from the ground up using AI & ML, for startups and small businesses. Zeni’s AI and Finance Experts collaborate to deliver 100% accurate accounting. We are based in Palo Alto, USA, Pune and Mohali, India We are looking for people with strong knowledge and application of US GAAP required in the areas of SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt proven. You should have excellent knowledge of ‘Quickbooks’. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in assisting customers and resolving their queries. Responsibilities Fast learner and ability to pick accounting concepts and pronouncements Ensure investor reporting requirements and debt covenants are reporting accurately and timely Prepare partner/affiliate, sales, and vendor contracts for proper application of accounting pronouncements Manage multiple clients at varying stages (pre-revenue, post-revenue) Knowledge of Equity recons and other balance sheet schedules Perform P&L trending analysis Daily tasks include posting of bank transactions / vendor bill payments / adhoc customer invoicing etc. Must adhere to timelines and SLA’s provided by accounting managers or leads Perform full cycle month-end close and reporting Confirm transactions for accuracy and completeness Be proactive when approaching, anticipating, and resolving client requests Team player that collaborates with and helps others whenever or wherever needed Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required 3-5 years of applicable experience required CPA/MBA/MCOM, Accounting or Finance concentration preferred 2+ years of direct experience working in high-tech startup preferred completing full cycle monthly close and reporting Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP required in the areas of SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt Ability to interpret and apply PCC pronouncements and guidelines Experience completing and/or preparing records for due diligence and/or external audits Experience implementing and maintaining Quickbooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com and Gusto, including system integrations is good to have Strong communication skills (oral and written) are a must Strong time and priority management skills • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) required Perks (India) Zeni PR: Here are latest PR news about Zeni: https://techcrunch.com/2021/08/04/financial-concierge-startup-zeni-banks-34m-to-show- smbs-their-finances-in-real-time/ https://www.business-standard.com/article/companies/finance-concierge-start-up-zeni-raises- 34-mn-to-help-firms-manage-finances-121080500069_1.html https://www.livemint.com/companies/start-ups/zeni-raises-34-million-in-series-b-funding- 11628146634139.html https://yourstory.com/2021/08/funding-alert-fintech-startup-zeni-series-b-elevation- capital/amp ● Work in a beautiful office space in the heart of Pune or Mohali ● This is a full-time position ● Yearly pay will be as per market standards for the profile ● Meals and snacks are on us!
