WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
The Site Supply Transformation team ensures Pfizer manufacturing sites have the tools and processes to plan and execute the flow of materials as efficiently as possible, driving data accuracy, continuous improvement, and innovative ways of working. In the role, you will own the end-to-end rollout and sustained adoption of the standard Lab Scheduling process and the scheduling tool across different labs in your region.
You will act as the bridge between individual lab teams and the central process team — translating each lab's operational reality into a workable, standardized process, and then ensuring that process is followed, supported, and continuously improved once live. This is a hands-on process ownership role combining project delivery (during rollout) with ongoing process governance and support (post go-live).
This is the first time Pfizer is implementing a production scheduling system across its global laboratories network. The scope of this role spans multiple labs in your region. You will engage with site leadership (T2–T3), including Laboratory Team Leads, Quality Leads and Site Leads (Sr. Managers/Directors/Senior Directors/VPs), to drive adoption, share insights and shape the strategic direction of scheduling capabilities across the region. It is key that the colleague in this role has the years of experience, communication skills and accumulated expertise to confidently engage with team leads and SMEs at our internal manufacturing sites.
HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT
Implementation & Deployment
- Build a thorough understanding of the structure of each lab in the region and document the current-state Lab Scheduling process.
- Gather and translate each lab's requirements, adapting the standard Lab Scheduling process to the specifics of each lab and site.
- Work with the SMEs, quality leads on site and other site departments leads and stakeholders throughout design and rollout to ensure a consistent and efficient tool implementation.
- Assess the systems, data flows, and interfaces each lab uses to identify which parts of the process are candidates for digitalization.
- Support labs with the data remediation needed to reach an accurate, migration-ready state.
- Track project execution against plan, escalating risks to deadlines or scope as needed.
Sustainment & Continuous Support
- Ensure the defined Lab Scheduling process is followed and executed correctly once live in each lab.
- Support labs through change adoption and drive consistent, effective usage of the scheduling tool.
- Act as first point of escalation for lab questions on day-to-day (BAU) process execution.
- Establish and maintain a support model giving each lab a clear point of contact and a defined path to request help.
- Track the defined Lab performance metrics for the region and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive scheduling excellence across all laboratories in your region
Continuous Improvement & Leadership Engagement
- Engage with site leadership (T2–T3), including Laboratory Team Leads, Quality Leads and Site Leads to ensure their Visual Management and CI process focuses on the biggest sources of loss in lab scheduling. Ensure the sources of loss are in-line with site, OpU and Global Quality goals.
- Support the site in improving their performance in T6 metric and connect it to existing VM metrics and CI.
- Present insights, opportunities and improvement plans to senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and resource prioritization.
Training & Documentation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials and process guides (e.g. flipbooks) for lab scheduling tools and practices.
- Coordinate training rollouts for new deployments and system upgrades, ensuring site quality teams are equipped and confident in tool usage.
- Convert support questions into opportunities to improve training, documentation or product capability.
- Communicate progress, risks and achievements to senior stakeholders, representing the lab scheduling function in strategic forums.
