Successful applicants will be considered for placements with leading employers on infrastructure, commercial, and large-scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret construction drawings and steel schedules Cut, bend, and fix reinforcement steel (rebar) according to specifications Install steel bars, mesh, and cages for concrete reinforcement Tie the rebar securely using hand and power tools Ensure correct spacing, alignment, and positioning before concrete pouring Follow health and safety regulations on-site at all times Work closely with site supervisors and other trades Requirements Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar role within construction Ability to read and understand technical drawings and bar bending schedules Good knowledge of reinforcement techniques and materials Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to relocate to the UK or Ireland for employment Language Requirement (Mandatory) As part of the visa and employment requirements: Candidates must hold a valid UKVI IELTS (Academic or General Training) A minimum score of 5.5 in each section (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) is required Additional Information This application is for inclusion in a candidate pool only Shortlisted candidates will be contacted when suitable roles become available Visa sponsorship will be available depending on the employer and role Department APPLICANT POOL Locations Northern Ireland Job Type International
