System Requirements Engineer

Tasks

We are looking for a Systems Requirements Engineer to contribute to advanced naval shipbuilding projects in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. In this role, you will focus on requirements management, traceability and verification, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure that complex naval systems meet customer and project requirements

Job Description

• Collect and manage customer requirements using IBM DOORS.
• Set up requirements baselines and keep track of changes throughout the project.
• Analyse, group and break down requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications.
• Make sure requirements are clear, consistent and measurable, and help resolve conflicting requirements.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure requirements are correctly understood and documented.
• Prepare and structure requirements for internal engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor the development process and report on the status of requirements to project stakeholders.
• Support system verification activities and collect evidence that requirements have been met.
  
  
  

Job requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Requirements Management principles.
• Experience in analysing, structuring and managing technical requirements.
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS or any other requirements management tools
• Understanding of requirements traceability and verification processes.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills.
• Excellent English; German is highly beneficial and Dutch is a plus.
• EU citizenship required due to the nature of naval defence projects.
  
  
  

Conditions

• An attractive gross monthly salary of €4,000–€6,100, depending on experience.
