Who are we?
Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is one of Australia's newest and most exciting lithium producers. Our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia is a world-class, tier-one asset with a 20+ year mine life — and we're now building on that foundation through a significant staged underground expansion.
At Liontown, a trained, competent and verified workforce is the foundation of safe and efficient operations. As we grow, this role plays a direct part in building it.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Training - Lead, this is a hands-on role keeping our people and contractors competent, confident and safe on site. You’ll deliver accredited and site-specific training, verify competency on mobile plant, and help maintain the systems that align our workforce with the Mine Safety Management System and WHS legislation.
From statements of attainment and Verification of Competency through to Permit to Work and Isolation training, you’ll play a key part in keeping Kathleen Valley running safely and efficiently, while taking pride in lifting the capability of the teams around you. The role suits someone who is passionate about Mining education, motivated, enthusiastic and enjoys being out in the field as much as presenting in the training room.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver nationally recognised training and statements of attainment under our third-party training agreement with Trainwest, including mobile plant and Certificate III Resource Processing
- Facilitate Permit to Work and isolation training in line with company standards
- Conduct Verification of Competency on mobile plant and equipment for employees and contractors using our digital Assessor app, resulting in minimal paperwork
- Maintain accurate and compliant training records in INX Intuition, and schedule training dates and facilities for in-house and external training delivery
- Conduct field interactions, Critical Control Verifications and workplace inspections across site, including processing plant Area Assessments
- Support department leaders to identify their training needs and schedule priority assessments
- Develop and review Liontown training and assessment tools
What We're Looking For
Must have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s license or higher
- Current General Construction Induction Card Wwhite Card)
- At least five years’ experience in mining and processing, including working knowledge of a processing plant environment. Mining Construction experience will also be considered.
- Experience delivering Isolation & Tagging and Permit to Work training
- Experience in operating, training and assessing mobile plant, such as skid steer, integrated tool carrier, and telescopic handler
- Experience operating, training and assessing high-risk mobile plant, such as Forklift, EWP, Franna, Slew crane, etc.
Desirable:
- High risk work license (WP, LF, DG, CN, C1)
- Certificate III in Resource Processing (RII30420)
- Nationally recognised units of competency such as confined space entry, working at heights, gas test atmosphere
- Proficiency with INX Intuition or similar learning management systems
- Basic learning and development skills
