Vehicle Inspector - Auction

CAARTL is a Dubai-based automotive company specializing in used-car auctions and professional vehicle inspections. We connect individual car sellers with a network of used-car dealers through a transparent and efficient auction process.

As part of our auction operations, every vehicle undergoes a professional inspection before being presented to our dealer network. Our inspection reports play a critical role in helping dealers accurately assess vehicle conditions and make informed bidding decisions.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Vehicle Inspector to join our growing auction operations team.

What You'll Do

🔹 Conduct comprehensive pre-auction inspections of used vehicles, covering mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, and structural conditions.

🔹 Assess engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other critical vehicle components.

🔹 Perform road tests to identify potential mechanical and performance issues.

🔹 Use OBD scanners and diagnostic equipment to identify faults and warning codes.

🔹 Identify accident repairs, repainting, structural damage, flood damage, and potential odometer discrepancies.

🔹 Inspect vehicle body panels, paintwork, interiors, tyres, and overall vehicle condition.

🔹 Capture clear photographs and accurately document vehicle defects, damages, and observations.

🔹 Prepare detailed digital inspection reports that will be shared with used-car dealers participating in CAARTL auctions.

🔹 Ensure inspection reports are accurate, unbiased, and sufficiently detailed for dealers to evaluate vehicles without physically inspecting them.

🔹 Highlight major mechanical issues, accident history indicators, and other significant defects that could affect vehicle value or auction decisions.

🔹 Coordinate with the auction and operations teams to ensure vehicles are inspected and reports are completed on time.

Required Qualifications

✅ Hands-on experience in vehicle inspection, automotive diagnostics, or automotive repair.

✅ Valid UAE driving licence.

✅ Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.

✅ Practical experience using automotive diagnostic scanners and inspection equipment.

✅ Ability to identify accident repairs, repainting, chassis damage, and mechanical faults.

✅ Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and professional inspection reports.

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Previous experience in used-car auctions, pre-purchase vehicle inspections, or automotive inspection companies.

⭐ Experience with companies such as CarSwitch, Cars24, Copart, Emirates Auction, or similar automotive platforms.

⭐ Experience using digital vehicle inspection applications and reporting systems.

⭐ Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering diploma, degree, or relevant technical certification.
