ROLE SUMMARY The VP, Emerging Markets Access and Accord Lead is a senior leadership role within Pfizer's Emerging Markets division, which aims to provide access to Pfizer's portfolio of medicines and vaccines at non-for-profit cost to low and lower middle income countries in the world. The VP, Emerging Markets Access and Accord Lead, is responsible for leading 7 direct reprots, as well as a cross functional team (PGS, Medical, Regulatory, policy & public affairs, legal and PHI and works very closely with Finance and Global Health & Social Impact groups.) engaging with governments and other stakeholders, and creating the strategic framework and operational plans to deliver on the Accord for a Healthier World initiative. The VP, Emerging Markets Access and Accord Lead also oversees the Global Commercial Access Portfolio (GCAP), which works with NGOs and organizations such as GAVI, UNICEF, Gates Foundation, CHAI, and other multiyear agreements such as Sayana Press and Depo Provera focusing primarily on vaccines and family planning areas. The GCAP generates revenues of ~400M USD/year. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the development and execution of the Accord for a Healthier World strategy. Build and maintain strong relationships with governments, regulators, health authorities, and other key stakeholders in the emerging markets, and advocate for the value and impact of Pfizer's products and initiatives. Manage a cross functional team, who are responsible for implementing the Accord for a Healthier World programs. Provides strategic guidance to develop country specific implementation plans that identify and align health system priorities and potential partner organizations that helps advance access to Pfizer’s medicines and vaccines. Oversee the GCAP portfolio, which works with NGOs and organizations such as GAVI, Gates Foundation, CHAI, and others to provide access to Pfizer's vaccines portfolio. Ensure the alignment of the GCAP strategy with the Accord for a Healthier World vision and goals. Monitor and optimize the performance and profitability of the GCAP products and programs. Collaborate with other functions and divisions within Pfizer, such as Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and others, to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the Accord for a Healthier World and GCAP objectives. Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and development to the Accord team, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and diversity. Accountable for expanding patient reach by ensuring effective deployment of Accord agreements, overcoming implementation barriers, and delivering measurable impact in priority countries. Monitor and optimize the performance of Accord initiatives through rigorous execution governance, contract oversight, and patient-impact metrics. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact. Bachelor's degree in business, public health, or related field. 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of leading commercial, access and/or global health initiatives. Knowledge of the emerging markets landscape, including the health systems, policies, regulations, and stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain trust and credibility with internal and external partners. Strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to develop and execute innovative and impactful solutions. Results-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to drive revenue growth and deliver on the Accord and GCAP mission and vision. Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across functions, divisions, and regions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MD, PhD, etc.) Prior P&L responsibility Deep understanding of global public health environment and related stakeholders; existing relationships or past working relationships with these partners a plus.
