About The Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and academically strong Academic Coach to support the learning and development of four children aged 6, 6, 10 and 12 who attend online school.


This is not a traditional classroom teaching role.


The children already follow a structured online school curriculum, so the role is not focused on replacing their school or delivering a full teaching programme.


The purpose of this role is to provide additional academic support, monitor progress, identify learning gaps, strengthen Maths ability, and help the children build better study habits, organisation, confidence, and independence.


Maths is the most important subject area for this role.


We are not specifically looking for someone with many years of classroom teaching experience. What matters more to us is:

  • the ability to engage children online
  • genuine interest in education and child development
  • the ability to positively influence children’s learning habits and confidence


This is a long-term role for someone who can become a trusted Academic Coach and educational support person for the children over time.


What The Role Involves

You will support with:

  • Monitoring academic progress across all four children
  • Identifying learning gaps and areas requiring additional support
  • Providing additional Maths support
  • Helping the children build strong study habits
  • Supporting organisation, focus, and accountability
  • Encouraging increasing independence in learning
  • Motivating and engaging the children in an online learning environment
  • Providing regular updates to parents on progress, strengths, and development areas
  • Supporting high academic standards and continuous improvement over time


One of the first deliverables in the role will be to complete an academic baseline assessment for all four children, covering:

  • Strengths
  • Development areas
  • Maths ability
  • Study habits and independence
  • Recommended focus areas

You do not need to have a perfect teaching background.
