Agentic SDLC Senior Engineer

About the Offer

We are currently looking for an Agentic SDLC Senior Engineer to join the team of our client from the insurance industry. For this role, Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party, which means you will sign the cooperation agreement directly with us.

You will lead the end-to-end adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle, from needs analysis and pilots to standardisation, governance and scaling, working hands-on with development teams and in close cooperation with managers and directors.

Key Details:
  • Rate: up to 195 PLN/h (B2B)

  • Work Model: Hybrid, min. 1 day a week from the office, full-time (40h/week)

  • Location: Warsaw

  • Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end Agentic SDLC implementations: needs analysis, pilots, tool configuration, standardisation, governance and scaling

  • Work with managers, directors and teams to gather needs, set priorities and build an AI adoption roadmap

  • Run trainings, workshops, consultations and hands-on working sessions for cross-functional development teams

  • Support teams in using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and M365 Copilot effectively

  • Design and implement workflows, agents, prompts, skills and Spec-Driven Development practices supporting analysis, development, testing, code review, documentation and maintenance

  • Build an internal knowledge base, standards, usage patterns and best practices for AI in the SDLC

  • Manage resistance to change: communicate benefits, address concerns, engage technical leaders and help teams change how they work

  • Define and monitor KPIs/OKRs and ROI of AI implementations, including productivity, quality, delivery time, unit cost of change and tool adoption

  • Evaluate and recommend AI SDLC solutions, considering quality, cost, security, regulatory risk and compliance with organisational policies

  • Create and enforce rules for safe, responsible AI use, including data protection, access control and risk management

  • Monitor the AI market and translate new capabilities into concrete use cases in the property insurance domain

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical role: Software Developer, DevOps Engineer, QA/Test Automation Engineer or similar

  • Hands-on experience in delivery teams and knowledge of the full application lifecycle

  • Experience designing and implementing AI-based solutions in the SDLC (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, M365 Copilot, open-source models)

  • Practical ability to build AI agents, workflows, skills and prompts and integrate them with the delivery environment (repositories, CI/CD, code review, testing)

  • Knowledge of Spec-Driven Development and modern AI-assisted software engineering practices

  • Understanding of LLMs, RAG, automation and agentic architectures

  • Experience deploying AI solutions to production: configuration, integration with organisational systems, hardening, monitoring and iterative development

  • Ability to gather and structure business and technical needs and turn them into concrete initiatives and solution architecture, including through technical discovery workshops

  • Ability to assess the business value of AI, optimise model usage costs and measure the impact of implementations

  • Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to work with technical teams, managers and directors

  • Experience transferring engineering knowledge by working alongside teams: pair/mob programming, joint code review, joint design and delivery on real team tasks

  • Ability to unify AI tooling practices and standards within a team and tailor Agentic SDLC practices to roles (developer, tester, analyst, DevOps)

  • Ability to support delivery teams in taking operational ownership of implemented solutions through gradual handover and working side by side

  • Familiarity with software delivery in a large financial organisation and awareness of security and compliance requirements

  • Analytical mindset, independence, openness to experimentation and continuous learning

  • Fluent Polish

  • Providing services from within Poland

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph

  • Experience with the MCP protocol
